Call for Projects in 2021 Regional and Community Design programs
Applications due Jan 15-to Feb 1, 2021, depending on program
SACOG has released a call for projects in the competitive Regional and Community Design programs of the 2021 regional funding round. Applications for Community Design and the Maintenance & Modernization category of the Regional Program are due January 15, 2021. Applications to the Transformative category of the Regional Program are due February 1, 2021.

September updates on funding programs and new opportunities
Several grant programs have application deadlines early in 2020, some of which have already passed. The 2020 State Funding Opportunities table shows the latest information about upcoming grant programs identified by SACOG staff as available to agencies in the region in 2020. It includes known deadline changes stemming from COVID-19 impacts. (see table)
Regional ATP application available
applications due December 3, 4 p.m.
SACOG will competitively distribute $11,773,000 of Active Transportation Program funding to projects and programs in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties to increase biking and walking. The Regional ATP application and the scoring rubric for evaluating competing projects are now available. Electronic-only applications are due Thursday, December 3, by 4 p.m.

Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Awards Announced
Region captures $2.5 million of $21.5 million awarded in California
Caltrans announced the Fiscal Year 2020-21 Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program awards on June 18. Of the 77 awarded grants, ten projects in the Sacramento region were awarded $2,523,512 to fuel local and regional planning efforts (Project descriptions and awards).

Revised Statewide Competitive Program Schedules
Delays adopted at the April 29 CTC meeting
The California Transportation Commission (CTC) adopted a staff recommendation to delay application due dates for the Active Transportation Program, Local Partnership Program, Solutions for Congested Corridors Program, and Trade Corridor Enhancement Program.
