Shared Services

Since 2012, SACOG has undertaken the Shared Services initiative acting as a convener or direct service provider to look at opportunities for cost savings and enhanced services for our member cities and counties. The goal of the Shared Services program are to bring a consolidated and cooperative approach to city, county and special district government services in the Sacramento area. This is accomplished through coordination with local government departments on opportunities for joint contracting, shared services, and other innovative efforts that make delivering government services more efficient or effective.

We are pleased to announce our Joint HR Services contract with Koff & Associates is now available for agencies in the SACOG region and beyond.  Koff & Associates is a full-service public sector consulting firm specializing in consultation and custom services for the management of human resources. K&A helps their clients address the people side of their business to strengthen productivity and optimize organizational performance.

Since 2014, SACOG has contracted with Hunt & Sons, Inc., a California-based petroleum products distributor, operating from its headquarters in Sacramento. Hunt & Sons, Inc. is a family-owned business, and has been in operation for more than 70 years. Hunt & Sons owns and operates 13 office and warehouse facilities, 38 commercial cardlock fueling sites, and more than 200 employees
