Placer County Transportation Planning Agency, Lincoln Bypass
The Lincoln Bypass is a critical piece of road infrastructure to help the region meet its transportation vision for 2035. The project brings local and regional congestion relief by improving overall travel times on the highway and local roads within Placer County. With the Lincoln Bypass open, local traffic within Lincoln is expected to decrease by 73 percent the next three years. The reduction of car and truck traffic will enhance the pedestrian and bicycle friendly environment of downtown Lincoln. The Lincoln Bypass is an excellent example of strategic system improvements that enhance economic viability by improving goods movement, connecting jobs and housing, and making specific efforts to preserve natural habitat.
