Through Senate Bill 1 there are two primary categories of grant funds. The State-wide Competitive Funding Grants and State-wide Formula Funds.

In the State-wide Competitive Funding Grants, opportunities for SACOG Members are direct funding, regional coordination; and input on guidelines. Eligible Applicants for the state-wide competitive grants are cities, counties, local special districts, and SACOG 

In the State-wide Formula Funds programs, the opportunities for local governments are regional coordination and input on guidelines.
