On September 15, 2022, the SACOG Board of Directors approved the Mode Shift program guidelines to distribute $1,500,000 through a six-county competitive grant program.

Grants between $25,000 and $250,000 will be available to cities, counties, special districts, non-profits, and other planning partners to implement projects and programs that serve an important role in identifying and addressing residents’ needs. Projects and programs will also support the policy outcomes of advancing equity in underserved communities, reducing vehicle miles traveled and greenhouse gas emissions, and managing roadway congestion.
