environmental Enhancement and Mitigation Program Accepting Applications
Concept proposal deadline May 31, 2017
The Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation (EEM) Grant Program is soliciting applications for the 2016/17 grant cycle.
Projects funded through the EEM Program must contribute to mitigation of the environmental impacts from modifying an existing transportation facility or constructing a new transportation facilities.
Eligible projects must fit within one of the following program categories:
- Urban Forestry projects designed to offset vehicular emissions of carbon dioxide.
- Resource Lands projects for the acquisition or enhancement of resource lands to mitigate the loss of, or the detriment to, resource lands lying within or near the right-of-way acquired for transportation improvements.
- Mitigation Projects Beyond the Scope of the Lead Agency responsible for assessing the environmental impact of the proposed transportation improvement.

Online Application Deadline: 5:00 pm on Wednesday, June 21, 2017
Applicants may choose to submit an optional one-page concept proposal to help the applicant determine if the project may be competitive before completing a full application.
