SACOG and Portland State University’s Urban Sustainability Accelerator (USA) program jointly hosted the Infill and Redevelopment Workshop on April 13, 2017 (view agenda). Almost 70 participants learned from regional examples and topic experts how to achieve successful infill development.

Robert Liberty of USA provided an overview of national and regional trends related to infill urban development, gave a summary of USA-SACOG projects helping to implement the Sacramento Region Blueprint and MTP/SCS, and hosted a panel of local planners who showed examples of redevelopment and infill projects in their communities

Economic development and place-making expert Michele Reeves of Civilis Consulting provided practical strategies for infill along with a number of examples on how to do it.
