The competitive category for the Community Design Program followed a selection process. The Community Design Funding Program and Application Guidelines were released on April 21, 2015. Applications were due on June 29, 2015. Two independent panels reviewed the applications. One reviewed for eligibility and interviewed each applicant for feasibility. The other body reviewed the applications for consistency with the programs evaluation criteria. Each project applicant was also interviewed. The recommendations were made and submitted to the Board of Directors, which approved them as provided. The nine non-competitive projects were reviewed for program eligibility by SACOG staff, and were recommended if eligible.
