REMOTE MEETING

Consistent with California Government Code Section 54953, an online meeting of the Policy & Innovation Committee will be held exclusively via teleconference in light of COVID-19 and the state of emergency proclamation and state and local recommended measures for social distancing. Public Comment:
Public comment will be taken on the item at the time that it is taken up by the committee. To make a public comment, you can do so four ways:
1. Written comment by email: email the clerk (rtadevich@sacog.org) to submit a comment. Comments read at the meeting will be limited to 250 words.  Comments will be accepted through the public comment period and individual agenda discussion items during the meeting.
2. Written comment online:  access SACOG’s website (www.sacog.org/agendas-0) and complete a public comment form.  Comments read at the meeting will be limited to 250 words.  [https://sacog.primegov.com/public/portal] (click on the orange speech bubble next to the agenda meeting items, and follow the prompts on the screen).  Comments will be accepted through the public comment period and individual agenda discussion items during the meeting.
3. By phone during the meeting:  Press *9 to indicate a desire to make a comment. The chair will call you by name or phone number when it is your turn to comment. We ask that members of the public keep their remarks brief.  Speakers will be limited to 3:00 minutes.  Comments will be accepted through the public comment period and individual agenda discussion items during the meeting.
4. Online during the meeting: for each agenda item, we will pause for public comment. Tap your name in the attendee list, then tap “Raise Hand”. The chair will call you by name when it is your turn to comment.  Please note that speakers will be limited to 3:00 minutes.  Comments will be accepted through the public comment period and individual agenda discussion items during the meeting.

Review and Accept the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and Related Audits (Loretta Su) (Est. Time: 10 minutes)

  • Two independent financial audit firms completed the audits of SACOG’s financials and Transit Funds and prepared the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and the Transit Funds Audit Reports, respectively. The ACFR reports on the financial position of SACOG, including several transit funds managed by SACOG, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2021. We are recommending the board review and accept the ACFR and related audits.

Approve 2022 Legislative Platform (Sabrina Bradbury) (Est. Time: 20 minutes)

  • Updates to SACOG’s Advocacy Principles and 2022 State Legislative Agenda.

Race, Equity, and Inclusion Meeting Report Out (James Corless) (Est. Time: 5 minutes)

  • A report from the Race, Equity, and Inclusion meeting.

Draft Growth Forecast for the 2024 Metropolitan Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (Garett Ballard-Rosa) (Est. Time: 15 minutes)

  • Staff has prepared a draft set of population, employment, and household projections for the six-county Sacramento region out to 2050. The preliminary projections serve as a key building block in the work leading to the next Metropolitan Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (MTP/SCS).

Tentative Programs for the 2022-2023 SACOG Funding Round (Chris Dougherty) (Est. Time: 15 minutes)

  • Staff has prepared a tentative timeline for the 2022-2023 SACOG Funding Round.

Youth Leadership Academy – 2022 Cohort (Rosie Ramos) (Est. Time: 7 minutes)
