April 11, 2019: SACOG’s innovation accelerator Civic Lab was today presented with an Outstanding Achievement in Innovation award by the Alliance for Innovation. The presentation was at the Alliance’s Transforming Local Government Conference in Reno.

The criteria for the awards were:  

• How it successfully addressed an important dilemma of public service delivery concerns. 
• How it has had a positive impact and tremendous benefit to the community or jurisdiction. 
• A quantum leap of creativity. 
• The government’s commitment and support of bringing the innovation to life. 
• Service delivery improvements and/or efficiencies. 
• Organizational improvement because of the innovation. 
• Tangible effectiveness and results. 

As part of accepting the award, SACOG was asked to create this short video about the Civic Lab project.
