Celebrating Success and Building a Brighter Future
SACOG's Blueprint Workshop brings together community leaders for a collaborative vision

June 30, 2023: We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all who attended SACOG’s Blueprint Workshop at the Folsom Community Center on June 16 and provided feedback to help inform the 2025 Blueprint. The workshop brought together almost 300 elected officials, public agencies, youth, and community organizations. It was inspiring to see everyone come together and the unwavering commitment to bettering the Sacramento region.

The Blueprint Workshop aimed to create a platform for collaborative discussions and shape the future of our region. We appreciate the enthusiasm, knowledge, and expertise that each participant brought to the table. All of the insights and perspectives shared during the activities were valuable and have provided us with a better understanding of the challenges, opportunities, and priorities that lie ahead.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to Evan Schmidt, chief executive office of Valley Vision for her presentation on the Built Environment poll, and to the youth panelists who generously shared their expertise and experiences. If you stayed after the workshop for the Youth Leadership Academy Luncheon, you heard from our region’s youth and their thoughtful insights into the future they want to see for the community.

Looking ahead, SACOG is working to translate the ideas and discussions from the Blueprint Workshop into the 2025 Blueprint Framework. These valuable inputs will play a crucial role in guiding our future decisions, and ultimately fostering a vibrant, equitable, and environmentally conscious region.

In the next few weeks, we will be sharing a comprehensive report that highlights the key outcomes and next steps resulting from the workshop. This report will serve as a testament to the collective effort put forth by all participants and will outline how SACOG intends to implement the feedback received during the workshop.

We strongly encourage you to stay connected with SACOG through our website, social media platforms, and future events. Your continued engagement and support are instrumental in realizing the vision we collectively share for the Sacramento area.

Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude for your invaluable contributions and for being an integral part of the Blueprint Workshop. Together, we can build a stronger and more prosperous future for our community.
