Advisory groups are a convening with various stakeholders for insights on matters relevant to the region's development.

The SACOG Board has implemented several advisory committees to gather insights from citizens, important community interest groups, and partner planning agencies on various matters. SACOG actively seeks advice from local agencies regarding transportation and land use plan content, as well as investment decisions. Collaboration at SACOG involves engagement not only with agency staff but also with governing boards, technical committees, and advisory groups.

The advisory committees consist of representatives from citizens' advocacy groups, the private sector, prominent colleges and universities, transportation management experts, and unaffiliated citizens. Depending on the prevailing issues and concerns, the committees may be expanded, reorganized, newly formed, or dissolved as needed by the Board of Directors.
