System Performance Program (STBG)
The SACOG Federal Funding Cycle is organized into three distinct programs that help direct federal transportation dollars to the region’s highest priorities in the six-county region. Each program supports different types of projects that collectively aim to improve air quality, enhance mobility, and keep our transportation system in good working condition.
The System Performance Program (STBG) Program funds projects that improve how the transportation system functions day-to-day. This includes roadway and safety improvements, transit upgrades, EV charging, new bike and pedestrian connections, mobility hubs, and smart-transportation technologies that help manage traffic and improve reliability.
