To deliver on the transportation priorities detailed in the Blueprint, the region must prioritize near-term investment decisions, align regional and local funding programs with a set of common goals, and be creative and strategic in pursuing state and federal grants. These efforts are supported by performance measures, data, and strong partnerships among public and private organizations throughout the region.

Building and maintaining a safe, resilient, and multimodal transportation system is a vital step in building vibrant communities. A prosperous future with clean air, housing choice, transportation options, and access to opportunity begins with today's actions.

The SACOG Board of Directors approved new Regional Funding Program Guidelines in October 2024 (see staff item and attachments). The call for projects for the three programs (Next Generation Solutions & Clean Air; System Performance; and System Preservation) will take place in 2026.
