2024 Regional Project Prioritization Program
The Regional Project Prioritization Program identifies and advances large regional projects that support the implementation of the SACOG Metropolitan Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (MTP/SCS). This strategy aims to maximize the region’s share of state and federal funding and support local project sponsors in pursuit of major federal or state grants.
The program prioritized projects pursuing funding from the following federal funding programs: RAISE, INFRA/ MEGA/ Rural, Congestion Relief Program, Safe Streets for All, Reconnecting Communities, PROTECT, CRISI, and the Active Transportation Infrastructure Investment Program.
SACOG also prioritized projects for State Senate Bill 1 funding programs, Solutions for Congested Corridors (SCCP) and Trade Corridor Enhancement Program (TCEP) and this process served as the SACOG Board adopted nomination process for these programs.
SACOG kicked off the 2024 Regional Project Prioritization Program in July 2024. The prioritized project list was adopted by the board in October 2024.
