Federal Funding Opportunities
Federal Funding Opportunities
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (also referred to as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, or IIJA) provides an unprecedented level of funding opportunities for local public agencies to gain access to Federal-aid funds to address transportation needs. Funding from this bill focuses on investing in infrastructure such as better roads and bridges, public transit, passenger rail, and much more.
This presents an important opportunity to further the objectives, activities, and projects laid out in the 2020 Metropolitan Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy.
SACOG staff are available to help local governments, transportation providers, and other eligible organizations understand grant requirements, identify the best fit between projects and various funding programs, and provide technical assistance, data, application review, and letters of support for projects that further our shared regional goals.
