Data Resource Center
SACOG creates and maintains a tremendous quantity of data about the Sacramento region which covers El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba Counties and the cities within each county. Please note that SACOG does not cover the Tahoe Basin portions of El Dorado or Placer County nor the City of South Lake Tahoe. Those geographies are covered by the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) however many data sources do not break out the Tahoe Basin separately.
This website contains only a small portion of the data that are available. If we don’t have the data you’re looking for, we may be able to refer you to another source(s) of information. Please email email@example.com or call SACOG’s front desk (916) 321-9000 for more information.

SACOG’S GIS program develops and produces data sets and maintains many GIS data layers and databases. Coordination of Local, State and Federal information represents more than 10 years of cooperative effort to create and maintain regional information. The program provides GIS modeling, analysis and mapping for SACOG programs and jurisdiction members.
The U.S. Census Bureau is Constitutionally mandated to count every resident in the United States every 10 years. The data collected by the decennial census determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and is also used to distribute billions of dollars in federal funds to local communities each year.
