The Information Resources Center regularly produces regional data summaries to assist our members with competitive grant grant applications. These summaries are often great resources for other grant applications or good background materials for reports.
SACOG 2020 MTP/SCS Modeling Projections for 2016 and 2040
Growth Forecast
As of November 2019, Total Household Population, Dwelling Units and Employment estimates for base year 2016, and projections to 2040. These static data are released at Traffic Analysis Zone (TAZ); Regional Analysis District (RAD); Jurisdiction; and County levels).
These files have been created based on the parcel level model created for use in the 2020 Metropolitan Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (MTP/SCS).
ATP 2016 Master Spreadsheet

As of May 2016, Census Tract level data gathered for Active Transportation Program (ATP) Cycle II grant applications. Six tabs in the workbook including 2010-2014 ACS Census Tract level data for population, dwelling units, households, age ranges, race/ethnicity ranges, income measures and more. Also includes Census Tract level forecast data for the current MTP/SCS using a 2012 base year with projections to 2020 and 2036 for household population, dwelling units, households, jobs by 9 sectors and travel metrics.
ATP 2013-2014 DOE School data – Physical Fitness
ATP
For School year 2013-2014 physical fitness test results for 5th, 7th and 9th grade public school students for individual schools, school districts, counties and CA state. Includes detailed breakouts for students that are listed by gender, race/ethnicity and income level. Data on physical fitness can be used for Question 4 Public Health measure of the ATP application.
ATP 2014-2015 DOE School data – Free/Reduced Price Meals (FRPM)
ATP
For School year 2014-2015 free or reduced price meal data for all public school students K-12 for individual schools. Includes total enrollment, enrollment used to determine FRPM and percent of students eligible for FRPM. Schools with 75% or more of students eligible for FRPM qualify as a measure of a disadvantaged community.

DOF-E5-E8 Population and Housing Estimates 1980-2023
Population & Housing Estimates
As of May 2023 this table joins together historical California Dept. of Finance (DOF) Demographic Research Unit (DRU) data by California County and Incorporated City on estimated population by household and group quarters; estimated housing units by single family, multi-family and mobile homes; and estimated households and housing unit change over time from 1980-2023. E8 tables were introduced to back-cast population and housing estimates from 2001 through 2009 to reconcile DOF/DRU estimates to the 2010 Census count.
