Civic Lab

Overview

Civic Lab

Civic Lab is a regional effort that aims to address issues of regional importance through action at the local level. SACOG will work with partner agencies, local experts, national leaders, decision makers, and innovators to find creative solutions to some of the bigger issues facing the region today, and in the future.

This year’s topic for Civic Lab is around smart mobility, and how these ‘disruptive technologies’ can be used to make the region’s transportation system function more effectively, efficiently, and equitably.

What is a Team – FAQ
During Civic Lab, projects will be worked on by a team

What is a team?

It’s a group of people working together on one common goal. In Civic Lab, teams can be made up of lots of different individuals. While we strongly encourage that teams be made up of individuals from different agencies, it is not a requirement. The only requirement is that any team selected for a Civic Lab project must be led by a public agency.

Does that mean only a public agency can apply?
