SACOG Board of Directors Elects New Leadership for 2026

The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) Board of Directors has elected City of Rocklin Mayor Jill Gayaldo as chair, and Yuba County Supervisor Gary Bradford as vice chair. They will be sworn in during the first board meeting of the year held on January 15, 2026.

Incoming Chair Gayaldo joined the SACOG board in 2019 and served as chair of the Policy & Innovation Committee in 2024. Incoming Chair Gayaldo has demonstrated leadership in transportation, having served as the director of transportation for the Elk Grove Unified School District where she oversaw a department with more than 200 employees and an annual budget of approximately $14 million. In addition to her position on the SACOG board, Gayaldo also represents Rocklin on the Placer Mosquito and Vector Control District. Gayaldo has received an administrator of the year award from Elk Grove Unified and was honored with a lifetime achievement award from Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition. Incoming Vice Chair Bradford joined the SACOG board in 2021 and has served in numerous leadership roles including chair of the Transportation Committee in 2024, and chair of the Land Use and Natural Resources Committee in 2023. He will also serve as chair of the Megaregion Working Group in 2026. Bradford has held office the Yuba County community as a board member of Reclamation District 784 and the Olivehurst Public Utility District. In addition to his position on the SACOG board, Bradford represents Yuba County as a member of the Greater Sacramento Area Economic Council, the Regional Council of Rural Counties, the South Yuba Transportation Improvement Authority, the Yuba Sutter Transit Agency, the Yuba Water Agency, and more.
