Livability Summit Is Back on October 1—Join Valley Vision and SACOG for the Regional Gathering

Post Date:07/25/2025

This year, SACOG has partnered with Valley Vision for their annual collaborative conference, the Livability Summit. On October 1, 2025, leaders will gather at the Citrus Heights Event Center to explore topics around livability, equity, sustainability, and prosperity in the Sacramento region.

During the summit, Valley Vision will release and explore results of their annual Livability Poll, which measures how residents feel about the quality of life in the region and their access to essential needs. The poll results will propel conversations as attendees collaborate on important topics such as housing, health, transportation, affordability, job access, and more.

In addition to the Livability Poll, SACOG will provide insights into the region’s long-range plan, the 2025 Blueprint, and examine the connection that the built environment has to quality of life.

“The Livability Summit is a great opportunity to bring together people from all corners of our community who care deeply about making the Sacramento region a better place for everyone,” said James Corless, executive director of SACOG. “We’re excited to provide data and insights that will help guide the conversations, and to listen and learn from local leaders about what their communities need to thrive.”
