SACOG is pleased to announce that the Draft 2025 Blueprint Plan is now available for public review and comment. The 2025 Blueprint – officially known as the Metropolitan Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (MTP/SCS) – documents a 25-year vision for the Sacramento region’s growth, integrating land use and transportation to support equity, economic vitality, and environmental sustainability.
Based on input from more than 6,000 residents and two years of technical analysis, this update plans for 580,000 new residents, 278,000 new homes, and 263,000 new jobs in the region by 2050, while investing more than $40 billion in multi-modal transportation improvements.

Your feedback will help shape the final Blueprint, which the SACOG Board of Directors is scheduled to adopt in November 2025. Following the close of the comment period, staff will compile and summarize all input for the Board’s consideration.
