Folsom Short-Range Transit Plan Update Final Report, September 2005
On September 13, 2005, the Folsom City Council adopted the Folsom Stage Line Short-Range Transit Plan Update for fiscal years 2005/06 through 2009/10. Included in this report is an overview of the study area, a detailed description of the current transit services operated by Folsom Stage Line, an analysis of potential transit demand, transit goals, standards, and performance measures and monitoring methods, an assessment of transit service, capital, institutional and management alternatives. The most significant change reflected in this SRTP is a service plan for restructuring Folsom Stage Line's local fixed-route service to integrate with the RT light rail system.
This transit planning document was prepared by SACOG staff for the City of Folsom to meet State and Federal planning requirements, to provide a management tool and a policy guideline for on-going development of the City's transit system. The preparation of this report has been financed, in part, through a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration, under Section 5313(b) of the Federal Transit Act Amendments of the Transportation equity Act for the 21st Century.
The final report is available on-line in pdf format. To view the complete document, or specific sections of the report, click on the following links:
