Infrastructure Working Group
The Infrastructure Working Group will look at how infrastructure plans beyond SACOG's Metropolitan Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (MTP/SCS) can help support the sustainable communities planning process, and where plans can be used to identify gaps in water, sewer and electricity systems that might impede development of complete communities around quality transit. The group first discussed information needed to help select four or five Transit Priority Areas (TPAs) and needs for further analysis of infrastructure capacity. Future work will include a review of opportunities to integrate infrastructure planning with SACOG's MTP/SCS, identified TPAs, and local government land use plans.
