Before becoming the Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator for the city of Davis, Tara Goddard worked as a Transporta-tion Planner for the city of Sacramento, focusing on transit-oriented development, urban revitalization, and bicycle and pe-destrian facilities. Prior to that, she completed her master's degree in Civil Engineering under the mentorship of Dr. Susan Handy, taking one year off to participate in the Executive Fellowship Program in Sacramento. Goddard earned her Bache-lor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at UC Santa Barbara, where she was awarded Outstanding Mechanical Engi-neering Student of the Year and developed a healthy appreciation for having a beach five minutes from the classroom.
