Ron Kelley

Owner, R. Kelley Farms

R. Kelley Farms is a family-owned farming venture that has provided seasonal fresh and healthy vegetables to Sacramentans for the past 15 years. Raised in the Delta, Kelley established his u-pick operation on a small plot of land just north of Hood with the intention of getting more people on the farm to enjoy the satisfaction of picking fresh and healthy produce themselves.

His farming operation has won him local and regional praise, along with a loyal clientele who flock to the produce shed to purchase his special crops of black-eyed, purple hull, and crowder peas. He also offers green, speckled butter, garbanzo, and cranberry beans. To compliment the fresh peas and beans, the farm has a variety of other items, including tomatoes, okra, sweet corn, peppers, squash, cucumbers, and several types of sweet melons.
