Richard G. Taylor

In 1974, Richard Taylor started farming 19 acres of prunes. He served on the boards of the Feather Water District and the Tudor Water District in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Since 1980, he has been President of Taylor Brothers Farms, a di-verse organic farm and processor of prunes and almonds, with multiple international marketing regions. In 1986, he started a retail roadside market, Taylor Fruit & Juice Company, which he sold in 1993. Over the past several decades, he has seen tremendous growth in his processing operations, as international and domestic sales increased. He is a California Certified Organic Farmer (CCO), and member of the International Prune Association, Dried Fruit Association/American Food Safety Council, and California Dried Fruit Export Association. He is also an active Rotary Club member.
