Nate Rangel
Owner, Adventure Connections
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Nate Rangel studied Theatre Arts at UCLA where he received his bachelor's de-gree, then shifted into business and received an Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in 1978. A trip to the American River in 1980 facilitated another career change, this time into recreational tourism as a river outfitter. Rangel has owned and operated Adventure Connection since 1983. He has served on numerous fed-eral, state and local boards and commissions, including the California State Park Commission, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Resource Advisory Committee and is currently a member of the joint California U.S. Forest Ser-vice-BLM Recreation Resource Advisory Committee. Rangel lives in Lotus with his two daughters, Allison and Sara.
