Heidi Tschudin, MPA, AICP

Heidi Tschudin has over 30 years of experience in land use planning, project management, and implementation of Cali-fornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). She is experienced in all aspects of land use planning, including long-range planning, policy analysis, environmental analysis, project planning and site development, specific plans and master plans, natural resource planning, fiscal impact analysis, transportation studies, housing studies, code updates, and new town and regional planning.
For the last 17 years, Tschudin has been the principal of her own firm, Tschudin Consulting Group, serving communi-ties statewide. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning, and a master's degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in land use planning. She is a nation-ally certified practicing planner. She specializes in all aspects of land use, transportation, and natural resource planning, particularly at the local level, and is considered an expert in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Tschudin currently teaches for UC Berkeley, and has taught for the UC Davis Extension Program, several state univer-sities, and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). She was previously a Program Analyst for the Governor's Office of Planning and Research, and the Director of Community Development for Placer County, among many other professional planning positions.
