Established in 1951, Kay Dix Ranch is one of the region's largest producers of pears, farming over 1,000 acres in the Walnut Grove area. The Wilson family runs the Delta's largest packing operation, employing more than 2,000 workers throughout the year. Kay Dix is committed to sustainable farming operations and distributes products to thousands of markets in every state.
Daniel Wilson is the manager of a vertically integrated family farming operation in the Delta where he was born and raised. His Kay Dix operation grows pears, asparagus, and cherries, and runs a grain elevator located on the Sacramento River. Wilson's family has been involved in flood control and water issues for five generations and he currently serves on two reclamation district boards, the Delta Citizens Municipal Advisory Council, and the Delta Protection Commission.
