Clarence Chu

Town of Locke

Clarence Chu has been a community leader in the town of Locke for the past 20 years and was instrumental in the creation of a community plan that would allow for residents to purchase land under their businesses and homes for the first time in 2005.

As the largest landowner in Locke, Chu remains active in some of the community's most important projects, including the continued operation of the Dai Loy Museum, the historic Joe Shoong Chinese School, and the newly restored Locke Boarding House.

Chu proudly conducts hundreds of tours each year in Locke, and is a founding member of the Locke Foundation, an organization that successfully built the memorial park on Main Street to honor former residents and community leaders.
