Executive Director, Sacramento County Farm Bureau

Charlotte Mitchell is executive director of the Sacramento County Farm Bureau. She has spent over 18 years representing farmers and ranchers either as a volunteer or staff with the Farm Bureau. The Sacramento County Farm Bureau is a non-governmental, non-profit, voluntary organization whose purpose is to protect and promote agriculture in Sacramento County and to find solutions to the problems of the farm, farm home, and the rural community. The Farm Bureau strives to protect and improve the ability of farmers and ranchers to engage in production agriculture at the local, state, and national level. Farm Bureaus count more than six million members nationwide.

Mitchell was born and raised on a third generation cattle and sheep operation along the Sonoma County coast. She now resides with her husband, a fifth generation farmer, and their two sons in Elk Grove on a contract turkey operation where they raise turkeys year-round for Foster Farms.
