Regional Funding Programs

SACOG has three federally funding programs that help local government agencies promote the goals of SACOG's Metropolitan Transportation Plan and Blueprint Project. SACOG solicits project applications from public agencies and their partners, proposing projects located in Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties. There are three transportation-related programs: Bicycle/Pedestrian, Air Quality and Community Design. All three programs have awarded projects in early 2006. In addition, SACOG operates a funding program in Transportation Demand Management. This program funds SACOG's Rideshare program as well as outreach activities performed by designated transportation management organizations.
