Please join us and others as we address important questions about environmental review in California. We will discuss such topics as: What is the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and what is its purpose? What should a Commissioner look for when reviewing an EIR or Negative Declaration? What does "mitigation" mean for a project, and how does it relate to the conditions of a project's approval? What triggers the need for an EIR? When is a categorical exemption appropriate? How do AB32 and SB375 (climate change legislation) affect the local environmental review process?
If you've had questions about CEQA, this is your chance to get some answers!
Our instructor will be Terry Rivasplata of ICF International, a CEQA expert with considerable experience at both the local and state government levels.
