    At this MTP workshop, we will be looking at the types of transportation trips people make by the distance they travel. We will use the options of shorter-distance, medium-distance, and longer-distance trips.

    How high a priority is it?
    Over 50% of the MTP budget will likely be spent on improvements that are not mapped. This includes maintaining the existing transportation system and new improvements that are too small to map at the county scale.

      Regular repair of potholes, and rehabilitation or reconstruction of paving surfaces for smoother driving.

      Highways and freeways get improved shoulders, lighting, and guardrails. Local street intersections are improved with crosswalks, audible pedestrian signals, lighting, and signage.
