Census 2000Important Message Regarding Census 2000 Race/Ethnicity DataRedistricting DataPL-94-171 - RedistrictingRace/Ethnicity data is available for cities, counties, census tracts and blocks. Other geographic levels will be available. This is the reapportionment data that everyone will use to redistrict.SACOG has prepared PL-94-171 Redistricting data extracts for use by those involved in the redistricting process. These files do not contain the exhaustive race/ethnicity/Hispanic origin tables that are available in the PL-94-171. The complete data is available. These files are available in a dBASE IV format for use with a variety of database, spreadsheet and GIS programs. The files contain 17 fields of data. The files provided by the Bureau have 78 fields in the geography file and 288 fields split between the two data files. We hope you find these 17 the most useful. Files for SACOG's six county area are currently available for Block Level data, Census Tract, Census Tract split by Place, and by Place. There are also files that provide Place Names and Place Codes. Additionally County and Regional Totals for Race and Hispanic Origin are available in PDF and Excel formats. Files by Block - Non-SACOG CountiesBlock Level data for selected counties outside our region are also available. A zipped file for the entire state will be available soon.
