What are Complete Streets?
Complete streets are roadways that provide for the effective movement of all public right-of-way users. Complete streets do more than just provide facilities for pedestrians, bicycles, transit, and cars—they include consideration of ADA accessibility, comfort and safety of all users, quality of life, regional and local transportation demand, and goods movement.

What is the Complete Streets Resource toolkit?
This toolkit is a collection of materials that cover many aspects of complete streets, such as funding, implementation, and issues. We searched the country for policies, case studies, reports, fact sheets, and presentations to compile this informational database. No matter what your interest is in complete streets, we hope the toolkit's wide breadth will facilitate you in finding what you are looking for, and more!

How do I use the toolkit?
To use the toolkit, view the list of subject categories on the right side of the page. Click on the subject you are interested in and a list of resources pertaining to that topic will appear. Scroll through the list of resources and review the abstracts/summaries to find all documents containing the information you need. Another approach is to search the list of resources or bibliography using the Ctrl-F function.

Can I change the category in which a resource is classified?
If you believe a resource is labeled with the wrong category, or you would like to add a category to a resource, please Contact Us.

What is the difference between the CD and the Web site?
The CD-ROM contains all the available resources, as of the printing date, and can be used on any computer. As SACOG receives recommended materials, the Web site will be updated and inevitably contain additional information not available on the CD. However, we will attempt to keep the CDs as current as possible.
