Extensive array of television programming for all ages that focuses
on national trends and developments as well as local features and programs for
the Sacramento region.
Project of the Year
Watt Avenue Improvement Project
Sacramento County Department of Transportation
Landmark project that reduces traffic congestion and provides
enhanced access for bicyclists and pedestrians who travel on this roadway that
has the highest traffic volume of any surface street in Sacramento County.
Citizen of the Year
Mary Brill
Responsible for recruiting others in the community to have a voice in
regional decision-making.
Employee of the Year
David Butler, Senior Vice President of the Sacramento Metropolitan
Chamber of Commerce
Liaison between the business community and public officials in
transportation and air quality issues for the entire Sacramento region by
leading outreach programs through the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of
Commerce.
Elected Official of the Year
Tom Stallard, Yolo County Supervisor
Commitment to collaborative regional efforts by addressing issues of
affordable housing, transportation planning, economic development, air quality,
and water management.
Special Recognition
Grant Joint Union High School District
Los Rios Community College District's Regional Education Centers Plan
Leadership and commitment toward protecting regional air quality
through the use of 25 natural-gas school buses in their fleet.
